Farm Holidays

Our historical farm was first mentioned in historical documents dating back to the beginning of the 14th century.
In the past, the Umsinder was a mixed grain, wine and cattle farm. When the wetlands were drained in the 1950s, the Umsinder fruit orchards were farmed more intensively and cattle farming scaled down.
Today, the majority of our farmland is reserved for apple orchards. We grow 11 types of apples and also farm a small vineyard with Vernaccio and Lagrein grapes. In addition to our apples and grapes you will also find, depending on the season, plums, apricots, nectarines, persimmons, pears, figs, hazelnuts and potatoes.
Our farm also has a relaxing sunbathing lawn with barbecue facilities as well as a kids’ playpark and a herb garden.
Try a taste of our jams. Depending on seasonal availability, every day you will find a healthy treat from the farm or some homemade delicacies from Michaela’s farm kitchen in your surprise goodies basket.

There’s so much more to tell you about our farm. We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Enjoy a relaxing vacation at the Umsinderhof and escape from your daily routine!
